Project Overview
Being appealed by this new wave of short looping motion design, I came with this idea of a pigeon wanting to "show off" in a funny sarcastic way. It was a personal project that came into my mind and got finished pretty fast, but still is one of my favourite. I sketched this character and the car into a notebook then recreated it in illustrator, imported it into after effects. It's a mixture of animated shape layers, and script (rubberhose). Fun fact, I did almost all of the sound effects with my phone's mic and recording app. Then edited the gain, the pitch and the level in after effects to give some depth to everything that's happening in this scene.
